Business Central Functional Consultant

I've partnered with a leading company in the Republic of Ireland delivering a large-scale government transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Business Central Functional Consultant to join their growing project team.

The Role

As a Business Central Functional Consultant, you'll work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to design and implement effective Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions. You'll play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to deployment and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into practical and scalable Business Central solutions.
• Lead workshops and provide expert guidance on best practices across finance and operational processes.
• Configure and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environments.
• Collaborate with technical consultants, developers and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and end-user training activities.
• Provide functional expertise during deployment and post-go-live support.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years' experience working as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant.
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end Business Central implementations.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and consultancy skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops and gathering business requirements.
• Solid understanding of ERP processes, particularly within Finance and Procurement.

Desirable

• Previous client facing experience.
• Experience working on public sector or government transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of best practice ERP implementation methodologies.
